FICM & CICM Joint Webinar

Both CICM and FICM are held to high standards by our regulatory authorities and recognise the need to be proactive to achieve excellence in ICM training. The respective Council and Boards of our organisations agreed to develop a deeper collaboration so we can learn from each other and work together on specific projects for the benefit of our Intensive Care Doctors in Training and Fellows. Three areas of focus have been agreed: training, assessment, and wellbeing and equity.

To launch this initiative, we will be carrying out a series of mutually branded events as proof of concept for collaborative working and to raise the profile of CICM and FICM in our respective nations.

The first such webinar in November 2021, will be hosted by FICM and broadcast live (catch up available) at a time zone best for CICM members, on the topic of, “The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on critical care staffing and the lessons from the UK.” A joint CICM and FICM panel discussion will follow two short lectures.

We look forward to seeing you and developing this mutual collaboration between both organisations further.
