Getting Involved
There are a number of ways that you can get involved in the work of the Faculty
Please see below for more information and do not hesitate to contact us if you have any queries.
There are not any vacancies currently, please check back soon.
The Fellowship of the Faculty of Intensive Care Medicine (FFICM) Examination has been running since 2012 and regularly advertises for new examiners. We are not currently recruiting for any new FFICM Examiners.
The training and quality programmes of the Faculty are only possible thanks to the diligence of our network of Tutors and RAs. There are over 200 Tutors and 27 RAs. Tutors are appointed locally, so if you are in a hospital that trains ICM, liaise with your colleagues and your Regional Advisor. Regional Advisors are appointed following an open appointment round and are normally Faculty Tutors.
For more information on Tutors and RAs please click here.
The Faculty’s biannual newsletter Critical Eye is always on the lookout for suggestions for articles and other content. The Summer edition is an e-newsletter and the Winter edition is a hard copy (and therefore has a slightly longer development period). For details on submission deadlines and formats, please click here.
The Faculty has recently received funding to develop an e-Learning resource for ICM, e-ICM. We are interested in hearing from you if you would like to author one of the sessions. More information is available here.
The Faculty always has a series of projects and work streams on-going. If you have a special interest and would like to let the Faculty know or are interested in taking part in one of our project areas, please contact us at contact@ficm.ac.uk
Equity, Diversity & Inclusion
Diversity, equity and inclusion are an integral part of our culture at FICM so it is important to us that this is reflected in our recruitment practices. For all of our roles and opportunities we strongly encourage applications from individuals from all ages, races, genders, sexual orientations, ethnicities and perspectives to ensure we maintain an inclusive culture that encourages, supports and celebrates our differences.
