Podcast: Palliative Care in Intensive Care
This month we have two fantastic episodes on Palliative Care. Gareth Thomas speaks with Dr Carol Davies (Consultant in Palliative Medicine at Southampton), Dr David Harvie (Higher Trainee in Anaesthetics and Intensive Care in Wessex) and Dr Rob Chambers (Consultant in Intensive Care in Southampton).
This is a two-part series, in part one we discuss the role that palliative medicine can play within the ICU both for patients and staff, the surprising impact when dealing with referrals.
Part two focusses on the future of palliative medicine within ICU and where the development of closer working can lead the two services.
