Eating well after critical illness or admission to intensive care (ICU) is important to ensure you maintain strength and fitness to help your body fight infection and recover. Eating well can be difficult, especially when faced with symptoms and side effects like fatigue, tiredness, lethargy or taste changes. In addition, it can be harder to do the cooking or shopping.
This video series describes some general dietary advice on how to eat well to help you recover after a critical illness. For individualised advice, please speak to your General Practitioner (GP), doctor or a dietitian.
