Careers & Workforce
The ICM workforce is an essential part of any acute hospital
It is not possible to run safe and effective acute care services without a fully functioning intensive care service. Intensive care is an acute environment, with multiple factors that risk the wellbeing of its staff, including fast-paced life and death decisions.
ICUs cannot undertake their vital work without an adequate and engaged workforce. Find out below how you can and why you should join this growing workforce, either as a doctor or a practitioner.
The FICM takes equality, diversity and inclusion seriously.
The Faculty will not tolerate discrimination on the basis of disability, gender identity, religious beliefs, sexual orientation or other protected characteristics.
The Faculty is also involved in the broader Equality, Diversity and Inclusion work being undertaken by the RCoA, please see here for further details.
