- 143 doctors completed ICM training (CCT) in 2024 – a record high.
- Shift toward gender balance: 31% of current trainees identify as female, up from 24% in the 2019 consultant census.
- Attrition rate from 2012–2024 stands at 10.38%, now being tracked annually.
- Changing entry routes: Internal Medicine is an increasingly common pathway into ICM training.
- 15 doctors successfully joined the specialist register via the Portfolio Pathway in 2024 – the highest number to date.
