FICM Thrive is a Career Mentoring and Personal Development Programme created and coordinated by the Women in Intensive Care Medicine (WICM) Sub-Committee.

FICM Thrive aims to facilitate a strong productive mentoring relationship based on mutual, equal and collaborative development and learning between mentors and mentees.

Who is Thrive aimed at?

Thrive is intended for consultants in their first 5 years post appointment.

Mentees are new consultants in ICM.

Thrive is a recently established programme and is undergoing constant review with an aim to roll out to consultants in all stages of their career.

Who are our Mentors?

Our mentors are ICM consultants from a broad range of backgrounds and are interested in providing support and guidance to colleagues. We welcome applications from consultants with two years or more experience from all Intensive Care backgrounds, including both single specialty and dual trained.

A short training course will be provided for new mentors and guidance documents to help a session are available at the bottom of this webpage.
