ACCP Curriculum 2023 published
The Faculty of Intensive Care Medicine is delighted to announce the publication of Version 2 of the ACCP Curriculum: Training for Advanced Critical Care Practitioners.
This edition builds upon the previous Version 1 from 2015 (itself updated as Version 1.1 in 2019) and is applicable for trainees entering training from September 2024. This edition is published following open consultation with stakeholders and the critical care community.
The objective of the programme is to produce high quality patient-centred practitioners with appropriate knowledge, skills and attitudes to enable them to practice in Intensive Care Medicine.
The ACCP Sub-Committee feel that now is the right time to update the ACCP curriculum, given the changes in recent years to the ICM CCT curriculum and new alignment of ACCPs to the National Advanced Practice agenda via the Centre for Advanced Practice (formerly Health Education England, now NHS England).
Our thanks to all who have contributed to this and previous editions of the curriculum, and to all who submitted comments and feedback on the draft curriculum whilst in development and consultation.
