10. Appealing the decision

  1. Candidates may request a review of an appeal decision only on the grounds that the Appeals procedure was not followed. The candidate must request a review within 14 days of the date of the letter notifying them of the outcome of the appeal.

  2. The review will be conducted by a Review Panel comprising: the Vice President/ Dean from the relevant College/ Faculty and a member of the Examinations Development and Assurance Group, which represents all RCoA examinations, who will review the appeal and the decision made by the Appeals Panel.  The decision of the Review Panel will be final, and no further appeals will be considered.

  3. Any new evidence submitted will be reviewed along with the original evidence by the Review Panel.  The panel will review the balance of evidence unbiased from previous decisions of the Appeals Panel.
