Management is largely supportive but there are specific aspects that all should be aware of when considering ongoing management.

- Fluids (large sequestration in severe inflammation)
- Analgesia (ensure able to deep breathe/cough effectively)
- Endocrine/Exocrine support (e.g. insulin)
- Organ support
