Any candidate who has a physical or mental disability, neurodivergence, specific learning difficulty (SpLD) (dyslexia, dyspraxia, dyscalculia, dysgraphia, auditory processing disorder, ADHD) or ongoing or fluctuating condition that they believe could affect their performance in an examination may be eligible to reasonable adjustments or special arrangements.
- Candidates should complete the reasonable adjustment online form on the website with all relevant information and attach supporting evidence before the deadline (see deadline dates for the component you wish to book). An outline of the specific details of evidence required is set out in section 7. Requests submitted via email or hard copies will not be accepted.
- The reasonable adjustments request is reviewed.
- If the reasonable adjustment is not complex, we will send the candidate confirmation of the approved reasonable adjustments within 14 working days of the reasonable adjustment booking window closing.
- If the reasonable adjustments are complex, we will let the candidate know of this within 14 working days of the reasonable adjustment booking window closing. Complex reasonable adjustments may take up to 28 working days to be processed from the reasonable adjustment booking window closing.
- Apply for your examination. In the booking page, the candidate should select their disability and/or tick the box if they are pregnant.
- For the written components, information on reasonable adjustments is added at the point you are scheduled on the system, 2 – 3 weeks before the exam date. Candidates receiving time adjustments will be scheduled in the first onboarding windows typically between 0900 and 0930. We will notify the proctoring team of reasonable adjustments such as extra exam time, extra breaks, use of ear plugs, a reader etc. one week before the exam date.
- For the clinical oral components, a candidate’s approved adjustments will be delivered in the examination.
- Candidates who are unable to meet deadlines for submission of requests can choose to sit at a later date or book and take the examination with no adjustments.
