Patients with DKA often present with thirst, polyuria, and polydipsia. Other features may include:
Cardiovascular

Tachycardia and hypotension (due to dehydration)

Abdominal pain, nausea and vomiting

Kussmaul’s breathing (respiratory compensation for metabolic acidosis) and the smell of acetone on the breath

Neurological
|
Altered conscious level, confusion, focal neurology and coma
