From 2016, Faculty and Colleges agreed to introduce an upper limit to entry to a second CCT programme of ST5. The August 2015 intake was therefore the last opportunity for trainees above ST5 in a partner specialty to apply for a Dual CCTs programme with ICM.
Trainees will not be able to apply for second CCT (and form a Dual CCT programme) if they are beyond the end of ST5 in their first specialty of appointment at the time of interview for ICM. This returns to the same principles of recruitment to the Joint CCT and is made to ensure the complex arrangements for Dual CCTs programmes remain manageable.
