ACCPs will require study or professional leave to maintain their continual professional development in addition to SPA time. The FICM recommends 10 days of professional leave per year for a fulltime ACCP, with an agreed study budget. Part time ACCPs should have both the time and the study budget allocated on a prorata basis. Incorporation of the ACCP study budget into the staffing budget will allow ease of access to the funds.
